This chart shows the opinions on how different ethnicities show negative and positive
views from social media. These percentages have a common statistic that those that
are a minority use there voice more often than others. In the survey, 65% of black people
responded that it is easier to hold powerful people accountable. This shows how
minorities will use their voice more often because it can be more powerful.

Another pattern in this chart for negative impacts from the survey is how white people responded
more to distracting people from issues that are truly important. In the negative
impacts section, 75% of white people responded that they make others think they're making a
difference when in reality they aren't. As well as for positive impacts, white people (61%) help give a voice to those unrepresented groups while the minority is a
strong 78% for representing unheard groups (without a voice).
These are connected by nonwhite people being more optimistic rather than white people being pessimistic towards social media. For example, the black lives matter movement was primarily voiced by social media which was very influential towards all people. It was very successful for the minorities which could be why white people can be more
pessimistic towards social media.
